Engineering·Fully Remote (Egypt)·Full-time·Posted 3 June 2026
About the Role
We're looking for a sharp, ownership-driven Full Stack Engineer to join the core team building our CBAM compliance platform. You'll work directly with the founders, ship features end-to-end and have a real say in how the product evolves — not just tickets to close. You'll need to adapt quickly to competing priorities and ambiguous requirements, navigating the balance between your own intuition and our product vision. There's no large engineering org behind you and no layers of process to hide behind. You'll write code that real clients depend on, in a domain that genuinely matters. You'll also be expected to support, debug and resolve real issues in production – showing full ownership across the SDLC. This is a full-time, fully remote position, open to candidates based in Egypt.
Responsibilities
Build and maintain features across the full stack using MongoDB, Express, React, and Node.js
Take ownership of features from design through deployment — not just implementation
Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews with the same standard you'd apply to your own work
Collaborate directly with the founders to translate product requirements into technical decisions
Identify and flag technical debt, performance bottlenecks, and architectural trade-offs proactively
Integrate third-party APIs and regulatory data sources relevant to CBAM reporting
Contribute to shaping engineering practices as the team scales
Help maintain our live system: supporting customer queries, managing infrastructure and improving observability
Requirements
2+ years of professional experience, or 1 year + strong internship experience with demonstrable, hands-on work on production-grade systems
Solid command of the full MERN stack: reasoning well across the frontend, backend and database
Comfort reading and understanding unfamiliar codebases quickly
Strong command of AI coding tools and the habit of using them as a multiplier, not a crutch
Experience with cloud technologies (particularly AWS), infrastructure and observability
A degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or any equivalent engineering discipline
Ability to operate in an early-stage environment where requirements evolve and autonomy is expected, not optional
A strong awareness of software engineering best practices and the drive to incorporate them into your work where suitable – even as you work quickly
